- Ellen is very in to imaginary play these days. She especially likes to play "Sea Life" where she pushes one of her babies or stuffed animals around the house in her doll stroller and pretends they are at Sea Life at the Mall of America. She looks up at imaginary sharks swimming overhead in an imaginary shark tank/tunnel and points out imaginary "Dory" and "Nemo" fish.
- Nearly everyday Ellen looks at one of us, crosses her arms in a very grown-up manner and asks, "So, what do you want to do tonight?"
- Whenever we return from an errand or other outing Ellen always asks, "Did you have a good time?"
- If something (usually an article of clothing) is too big or too small, EVB says, "It too fit."
- Without any prompting, Ellen will say, "I love you SO much!"
- EVB comes up to us and whispers, "I've got a secret." When we ask, "What's your secret?", she whispers back, "I don't know."
- When you has Ellen what Daddy does at work, her response, "Gets the monies."
- When Ellen is crying, she'll make sure you know by saying, "I'm crying." Then, she'll ask, "What's the matter with me?"
- EVB has started a daily morning ritual of reading books to her babies ... She can literally read (recite) every book she owns almost word-for-word with the proper inflection in all the right places.
Despite a few recent challenges (e.g., waking up at 5 a.m. or thinking it's hilarious to head-butt mommy), Ellen is still one sweet little girl. :)
