EVB: Official Preschool Graduate

It's official, Ellen has completed preschool and is ready to move on to kindergarten. As a parent, it's a bittersweet milestone. On one had, I am so proud of her and beyond excited for all the fun she'll have next year ... On the other hand, it makes me sad to think how quickly she's grown up and to know that she is know a legit big kid.

Ellen's graduation ceremony was super cute. The countless hours of preparation on the part of the kids and the teachers certainly paid off. Everyone did a great job singing the songs, standing/sitting in their assigned spots and being the center of attention when his/her diploma was handed out.

EVB: 5 Years + 7 Months Old!

June's Last Day of ECFE

Since she's off to preschool in the fall, June's Early Childhood Family Education experience has come to an end. We had a great last day, complete with a little potluck party with all the kids and moms. Fun times!

JEB: 3 years + 2 months Old!

June Bug is continuing to do swell at being 3 ... Here's what our littlest lady has been up to as of late:

• Still rocking it at being potty trained. Woo hoo!
• Keeping up with her big sister. Ellen and June are becoming better playmates every day and can happily entertain themselves and each other for hours on end.
• Gaining more and more independence when it comes to personal care (dressing, undressing, brushing teeth, using the toilet, washing hands, etc.)
• Per usual, doing a wonderful job of taking care of mom. I've said it before and I'll say it again, no one will ever love me the way June loves me. She's the best at reading my emotions and knows precisely when I'm in need of a hug.

EVB: 5 Years + 6 Months Old!

Miss Ellen is halfway through her year of being 5 and she's turning in to quite the little lady! Here's what EVB has been up to lately:

• Still loving preschool. I'm not sure she realizes just how soon her time in the Frog Room will come to an end ... Ellen thoroughly enjoys seeing her teachers and friends every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
• Gearing up for preschool graduation. Ellen's class has been hard at work learning songs and practicing logistics associated with the big graduation ceremony in May. Apparently, it's a big deal.
• Growing like a weed. Ellen gets lankier by the day and is quickly losing any remaining physical characteristics of a preschooler/little kid.
• Deciding which activities to partake in this summer. So far, we've signed Ellen up for Princess Camp (her choice), Zoo Camp, Vacation Bible School and Soccer Shots.  She'll have the busiest summer schedule of everyone in our house! (Swimming lessons have wrapped up and will remain on hold until the fall ... leaving plenty of time this summer to practice swimming skills in Boppa's pool!)

Our Angel in Heaven

Ellen and June's Omma went to heaven on April 16, 2015. Our hearts are beyond broken, but we all are so thankful to have been recipients of her love. Because Ellen and June are still so young, I realize that memories of their Omma will fade over time ... I just hope and pray that they will never forget how much she loved them. xo

JEB: 3 Years + 1 Month Old!

June had a great first month as a 3-year-old! She got a glowing report at her 3-year-old well visit, she's still doing great in the potty-training department and she continues to enjoy her weekly ECFE class!
