7 Months Old

Ellen is officially 7 months old today! This is such a fun age! Here's what Ellen has been up to lately:

• Reaching for everything in sight (she especially loves to go after TV remotes)
• Transferring objects from one hand to the other like a pro
• Blowing raspberries
• "Talking" (Lots of "ma-ma-ma" and "ba-ba-ba" sounds)
• Eating solid food three times a day (her favorites are pears, apples, sweet potatoes, baby yogurt and watermelon)
• Drinking water out of her sippy cup
• Attempting to scoot, but she usually ends up going backward :)
• Raising her arms whenever someone says "so big"

This is the first time EVB discovered her Goodnight Moon bunny sitting next to her while posing for her monthly chair photo.

Getting taller ...

EVB loves "eating" watermelon using her strainer.

Bath time continues to be lots of fun for our little ducky. :)

First Dip in the Pool

Ellen finally had a chance to take a dip in Omma & Boppa's pool. She loved it! We can't wait to do it again!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! Ellen gave me a beautiful card and (with Daddy's help) had my favorite caffeinated beverage from Caribou Coffee waiting for me when I woke up. It was a very special day ... I absolutely LOVE being a mom!

6 Months Old

Ellen turned 6 months old on April 27! Because of her doctor's schedule, she actually had her 6-month appointment a couple of weeks ago ... She weighed 14 lbs. 7 oz. and was 26 inches tall. In addition to her four bottles, Ellen is eating twice a day (fruit & cereal in the morning and veggies in the evening). She's very inquisitive and does a great job playing with her toys. EVB can now sit up on her own, but still topples over once in awhile.

We Love Spring!

We've been taking advantage of the fabulous weather lately by getting Ellen outside as much as possible. We've gone on many walks around the neighborhood and visited the local park where Ellen tested out a swing for the first time. (She LOVED it!) We've also been enjoying dinners out on the deck ... I'm so happy spring is here!

Ellen has been embracing her feminine side lately ...

Like many women, EVB has a little cellulite; however, she is not at all self-conscious about her cottage-cheese legs.

And, she enjoys a little pampering now and then. :)
