EVB: 2 Years, 4 Months (29 Months) Old!

Miss Ellen is one entertaining 29-month-old little girl! She has adjusted well to being a big sister and it's a role she's proving to be well-suited for ... EVB loves June and is so gentle and sweet with her. She does a great job holding her and softly kissing the top of her head. On special "Mommy & Ellen" outings, EVB will often say., "I'm sad. I need to go home to see my Dad and my Junie." Here's what else Ellen is up to these days:
  • Singing. Ellen is coming out of her shell when it comes to belting out her songs ... Favorites include "Slippery Fish," "Mr. Sun," "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and "How Much is That Doggy in the Window." We also overheard Ellen singing about "Mack & Jill" the other day.
  • Not eating so well. EVB is starting to show a lack of interest (or maybe a lack of attention span) during mealtime ... Hopefully this is just a phase.
  • Negotiating and asserting herself. Ellen frequently says things like, "Just one more minute," "Just one more time," "No, I think I'll just play for a bit" or, her favorite phrase, "No, I don't need to" when she's opposed to whatever it is we're telling her she needs to do.
  • Wiggle-walking. Ellen has adopted a new swagger that involves wiggling her hips and swinging one arm as she struts across the room.
Lately Ellen is all about a big, fake, cheesy smile :)
